Bocelli 30^ anniversary concert

Each Bocelli concert is an emotional journey through various musical genres, from pop to classical music, including famous arias and original compositions. The tenor is renowned for his ability to move the audience with his powerful voice and charismatic stage presence. During the concerts in Lajatico, set in the unique atmosphere of the Teatro del Silenzio, it’s common to see special guests and collaborations that further enrich the experience.

The three evenings last July were filmed to be released in cinemas worldwide this fall in a docu-film titled “Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration,” in honor of his 30-year career.

As expected, world-renowned guests were present: Ed Sheeran, Brian May, Johnny Depp, Russell Crowe, Will Smith, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Lang Lang, Jon Batiste, Zucchero, Eros Ramazzotti, Elisa, Tiziano Ferro, Laura Pausini, Shania Twain, and many more.

Will Smith, during his monologue, delivered a reading of the lyrics of the classic song “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” The song speaks of hope and the ability to rise again after every fall, a true anthem to life that, thanks to the actor’s deep and touching interpretation, resonated with the hearts of all the spectators.

In another surprising moment, Andrea Bocelli sat at the piano and announced, “For a gladiator in art and in life,” as Russell Crowe joined him to sing “Take This Waltz.”

The emotions continued, and beyond the aforementioned guests, the stage featured other moments of pure magic, including a duet by Andrea Bocelli and Ed Sheeran.

An emotional Bocelli remarked, “Music is meant to unite, to share a feeling, an emotion. After thirty years on the world’s stages, it will be an honor and a truly special occasion to celebrate together, right here, where I was born, where it all began.”

Adding to the evening’s charm, Johnny Depp took the stage, accompanying Andrea Bocelli on guitar for a performance of “En Aranjuez con tu amor.”

To close the event in style, the sky was filled with drones that recreated the wave of vibrations of the hertz from Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma,” a pinnacle moment in the magical atmosphere created by the tenor.

Each year, Andrea Bocelli manages to evoke different emotions, surrounding his guests with the beauty of the location and enveloping them in the magic of music, turning the entire experience into not just a concert, but a truly unforgettable event.
